WHY THE TRIBES SUMMIT ?
Clarion Call: “United for Peace and Prosperity”
Theme: "Unity in Diversity"
The Tribes Summit 2017 aims at enhancing the unity of Kenyans by bringing together representatives from diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds under one roof to declare peace before, during and after the 2017 general election. The summit will be held on June 29th 2017 with the participation of about 550 people. The All Tribes Against tribalism (ATAT – Peace Walk) will be on Saturday July 1st 2017 as part of the summit activities. ATAT Peace Walk is expected to attract about 2000 participants.
We are proud to partner and be hosted by the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies (WMI), established in honor of the 2004 Peace Nobel Laurette Prof. Wangari Maathai and located at College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS) of the University of Nairobi.
